The Love Fridge is a volunteer-based mutual aid group. We believe in the practice of “solidarity not charity” and rely on the community to ensure that the fridges are safe and clean.

Volunteers check on the fridge's temperature and freezer function, organize food by expiration date, sanitize the fridge, and clean up any spills.
The community helps to maintain the quality of the food in the fridge — throwing away any expired or open foods, as well as foods that do not meet The Love Fridge guidelines for acceptable donations
Once on-site, volunteers can access the fridge directory and check in to let the community know how the fridge is doing, and request items for the fridge.
